A behaviour problem is defined by the dog exhibiting an abnormal behaviour response to a certain stimulus. The problem can be on-leash reactivity, excessive barking at the door, chasing his own tail to the point of obsession, separation anxiety, resource guarding, dog-dog aggression, human aggression to name a few of the most common.
Obedience is to show the dog and owner cues and behaviours to prevent problem behaviours from starting. When a problem behaviour has been going on for a extended period of time, this dog has a serious problem that he or she has spent x amount of time learning, so this dog needs to 'un-learn' it through different training.
